Michael Reagan said last night that there were two kinds of Republicans: Reagan Republicans and Rockefeller Republicans. He is wrong. There are three kinds of Republicans. He omitted Ron Paul Republicans. Ron Paul Republicans, although in the minority, are the true conservative heirs of the Old Right. Unlike Ronald Reagan, they oppose root and branch the welfare state and the warfare state.
