Ron Paul Drives Neocons Crazy

Make that “crazier,” as Richard Brookhiser of National Review flips out over an old flyer from his sock drawer. It contains a criticism of the Fed by Ron in 1984. In fact, Dick, Ron has been publicly criticizing the central bank since your man Nixon closed the gold window, and enacted a purely discretionary monetary policy, in 1971. That dictatorial decision led directly the present crisis, to massive inflation and recessions, and to lower standards of living for regular Americans. (Thanks to Ravi Kuppusamy.)
