RIP Ira Levin

How sad to see that Ira Levin has died. He’s famous for writing popular books that were turned into movies, like Rosemary’s Baby, The Stepford Wives, and The Boys from Brazil.

But his greatest work was This Perfect Day — a dystopian novel worthy of comparison to 1984 and Brave New World, and a favorite of libertarians who have read it.

Read Ralph Raico’s LRC review of this overlooked classic.

Hat tip to Don Boudreaux — who, coincidentally, first told me about this great book years ago.
