Toshio Tamogami, chief of staff of the Japanese military, has been dismissed for his politically incorrect article called “Was Japan an Aggressor Nation?” His crime: writing that the Japanese empire was no more aggressive than the British, French, or Dutch empires, and that it is therefore wrong to single Japan out.
