Regurgitating Lies

Vomit—sorry, I mean Vox, has debuted the Maskerati’s newest attempt to align their fetish for facial clothing with “facts,” largely by fudging the latter. The disinformation’s headline promises,

The growing scientific evidence for masks to fight Covid-19, explained,

while the subhead acknowledges,

It’s true the evidence for masks was weak before. That’s changed.

I was laughing too hard to wade through this bilge. Fortunately, Tim, who sent me the link, did it for us:

…what they claim to be “scientific evidence” is truly hilarious.  None of its evidence even claims to be any kind of actual test; instead it is all “expert opinion” and surveys finding that people admitting to being terrified of the shamdemic are better at avoiding it than people who don’t care. Frankly, I will sooner accept my cat’s opinion than that of self-serving dictatorial idiots.

Hey, compared with these propagandists, your cat no doubt sets a very high bar.

Even knowing that many people who read that will be unaware of the actual science on the subject of masks, it’s funny how far they had to go to be able to claim finding evidence of their idiotic edicts.

Here’s hoping the next time they go that far, they stay there and leave the rest of us be.
