Real Men Don’t Wear Masks

…mixed-martial arts legend Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone revealed that he refused orders to wear a mask on national television …

Cerrone holds a staggering number of UFC [Ultimate Fighting Championship] records across his 33-fight career with promotion, including most wins, most finishes, most knockdowns, most post-fight bonuses, and most head kick knockouts in UFC history. …

I don’t even know what a “head kick knockout” is, nor whether our hero dealt or suffered them, but it sounds pretty bad—far worse than an alleged illness so innocuous victims must undergo testing to learn whether they’re infected.

Cerrone was asked to offer his thoughts on fighting without a crowd because of COVID-19 restrictions. He responded, ‘I mean, as soon as the election’s over I’m sure that will be right back to normal so we should be good to go.”

I have never heard of Mr. Cerrone or his sport and know nothing about either. But if he did indeed receive rather than inflict those “head kick knockouts” and still has the brains to realize the COVID Con is totally political, well, what excuse do all the Masked Morons who’ve never endured a single “knockout” proffer?

A journalist then asked Cerrone to elaborate further on his thoughts about the COVID-19 lockdown, and whether he thought there was a politically motivated overreaction.

“Yeah, super overreaction.”

Ditto on my last comment.

Where I live out in New Mexico, my life hasn’t changed at all, man. We go the store, I don’t wear mask, we’re all quarantined on the ranch because it’s just the way we live but, out here like, when we were walking in they were like, ‘Put your mask on’ and I was like, ‘Hell no, I don’t stand for that sh*t,’ I’m not gonna wear a mask on TV. I don’t wear one anyway,” Cerrone said.

Every once in a great while, I pass a man in a fur coat on the wintry streets of Manhattan, and I laugh every time. What a wuss! Except for trappers in the Old West, mink looks girly and ridiculous on a guy.

Likewise, gentlemen, unless you’re striving for the feminine look, eschew muzzles.

Thanks to Bill Martin for sending Mr. Cerrone’s words of wisdom.
