Jim, the problem is that your typical reporter doesn’t have the knowledge to even discuss monetary policy, genuine tax reduction, federalism, non-interventionist foreign policy, and other issues that Ron Paul focuses on and which are the big problems facing America. After all, look how dumb THE SMARTEST MAN IN TV JOURNALISM, Tim Russert, revealed himself to be when he tried to insinuate that Ron Paul was being hypocritical by calling for a constitutional amendment. Russert actually believed that amending the Constitution is unconstitutional! He acted as though Ron was being, well, Romney- or McCain-like by championing the Constitution on one hand while suggesting that it be amended on the other. I guess he thinks the First Amendment right of free speech, or the 1920 amendment that gave women the right to vote were illegal!
Anyone with an I.Q. above 50 can “report” the score of a ball game or the results of a horse race, which is essentially what mainstream political “reporting” is.
