Norm is dead on with his comment on Bushite supply siders. In his August 25, 2003 Weekly Standard article in which self-described neocon “godfather” Irving Kristol defined the neocon philosophy/agenda, he said the neo-conmen supported supply-side economics during the Reagan administration only because they believed that a re-invigorated economy could then finance a greatly enlarged welfare state.
