Butler, a few months ago, a Time editor said there was a lot of argument for choosing the Iraqi guerrilla as Person of the Year, but that would be “too discouraging.” Who knows what the present status is, but for decades Time was a mouthpiece for the CIA. In any event, not a discouraging word was heard.
