Professor DiLorenzo, Fr. Sirico’s (de)evolution need not neo-cons, Soroses, assorted Kochs, or any other push down the hill. It’s simply a matter of what I shall modestly call “Keaton’s First Law”: Anything not strictly anarchist will become a right wing circus freak show over time.

In Fr. Sirico’s case, the mortal sin is his association with the Human Rights Foundation, an organization which champions using violence to end genocide.

Those of us with courser sensibilities describe this technique as fornicating for chastity. That’s between Fr. Sirico and his confessor, of course.

As for those ‘concerned‘ for human rights, Bradley Manning has been in jail without trial for 746 days.
