Butler, present company excepted, of course, but too many law professors combine the worst aspects of both lawyers (legal positivism) and engineers (logical positivism; see Engineers’ Syndrome and C.P. Snow’s “The Two Cultures” and Misesian Dualism). They have no coherent view of norms or justice or the true, Misesian, dualist nature of science. They are adrift and helpless in a sea of logical and legal positivism.
