Lew: I noticed that the chairman, Antonio Villaraigosa, had to ask the delegates three times to vote on the motion to approve — by the required 2/3 vote — the platform. It seems to have taken this many votes to overcome the chairman’s conclusion that a 2/3 majority had been achieved when, to any ear, it was evident it had not.
