Radosh vs. Woods and Zinn

Ronald Radosh, who made the short, happy journey from commie to neocon, is upset at Tom Woods, and compares him to Howard Zinn. Leaving aside Radosh’s obvious envy at Tom’s fame and book sales, his comparison, intended to smear, is not entirely without sense: Zinn’s bestselling book also denies the heroic view of Lincoln’s aggressive war, and shows it was really all about economic advantage. As Murray Rothbard noted, the old-time Marxists are sometimes decent scholars, and they follow the money (i.e., do power-elite analysis), so you can learn from them.
