I almost always have a radio playing when I’m home, tuned to a station that offers classical music. And I was vastly amused this morning at a report on the top-of-the-hour news about yesterday’s shooting of Republicans: it did not mention or even allude to the attacker’s socialism and his support of Comrade Bernie Sanders. WQXR is a “public, non-commercial” station way to the left of Stalin, like most of Manhattan; the New York Slimes owned it until about eight years ago–and the Slimes still supplies the station’s newscasts.
