There is some wisdom being expressed about an appropriate U.S. policy toward Russia and Ukraine, which means others who have independently reached conclusions similar to mine. Henry Kissinger is one source (on this matter). Today, Prof. Mearsheimer is another. They say nothing radical, only common sense.
So far, the White House is not listening. Their words and actions have been amateurish and that’s exceedingly dangerous, because they may raise the stakes. They seem to be either insulated from wiser advice or repeating among themselves ideological cant that doesn’t apply.
