The Pentagon has lifted the ban on women in combat. I suspect that even apologists for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan don’t consider this to be a good thing. The article linked points out that more than 800 women have been wounded in these two wars and more than 130 have died. Now even more can do so. Another bad thing about this is that it could lead to women being forced to go into combat instead of just letting them do so to further their career.
