Peace Prize Regrets?

Geir Lundestadt, the former secretary to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, has acknowledged that the awarding of that prize to Barack Obama in 2009 was a “mistake,” in that the award “didn’t achieve what [the committee] had hoped for.” I don’t understand Lundestadt’s reasoning. Obama achieved what he was selected to achieve when, on January 20th 2009, he became the first black president of the United States.
