Acccording to an August 22 Associated Press story, “religious broadcaster” Pat Robertson “called . . . for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez . . .” Robertson reportedly said on his “700 club” TV show that it is “our duty” to murder Mr. Chavez since his country is “a launching pad for communist infiltration.” Well, Pat, make my day: Be a man and go down to Venezuela and give it a shot yourself. But leave “us” out of it, and quit pretending that the Bible condones cold blooded murder.
