Party with a death wish

The GOP is on a suicide mission.

They appear to be about to nominate one of four or five dreadful candidates for President. If they do so, they will suffer a catastrophic loss in November including in Congress.

McCain, Rudy, Romney and Huckster are dreadful candidates each in their own special ways. Fred Thompson is the least bad of the bunch. (Lazy men don’t start wars.) Naturally, he lags behind.

In spite of Ron Paul’s single digit performance in NH (better in paper ballot counties), my view has not changed in the slightest. Ron Paul is the only candidate who can save us from hearing that shrill voice take the oath of office on January 20th. He does well among the young, independents, liberals and Democrats, you know, the type of people whose votes a Republican needs in November.

It’s still very early but the Republican rank and file needs to wake up. The only force that can spare you from another Clinton in the White House is the Ron Paul Revolution. The notion that the second coming of Bob Dole, Elmer Gantry, Dorian Gray, Darth Vader or Sleepy can do that is a sad delusion.
