Paper Magazines, RIP

Magazines, they’re so 20th century. The other day, for the first time in many years, I picked up physical copies of Time and Newsweek, the two ex-giants of the corporate-state establishment. I thought, who wants to read last week’s news? And there was not one analytical article in either magazine that drew me in. I mean…Joe Klein? More astounding, there were very few ads. Anorexic Time had 60 pp., and 13 1/2 pages of ads. Bulimic Newsweek had 72 pages, and 19 pages of ads.
