A nice feature of Samizdata is its now famous glossary of blog terminology. So we discover, for instance, that Blogathy is when “you just don’t give a damn about posting in your blog that day.” Blurker: “One who reads many blogs but leaves no evidence such as comments.” Kittyblogger: “someone who uses their blog to write about their cats.” Progblog: “a blog expressing various left wing political views.” My proposed addition is Smearblog: “a blog maniacally dedicated to slinging mud through extreme, unfounded, and wantonly destructive claims against people or institutions in the hope that some will eventually stick.”
