The other day I saw a campaign ad for a guy who wanted to be a judge somewhere in the Empire State. He said that as a judge, he would avoid party politics and lobbyists and only rule according to the law. But Mr. Judge-Wannabe, what if the law is bad? If the law says it’s legal for the government to steal property or to murder or to imprison, Judge-Wannabe must, by his own admission, be fine with this.
