Nuclear Winter vs. Global Warming

A few years ago on this blog, in Greenpeace to advocate nuking the earth?, I wondered mostly tongue in cheek whether global warmers—sorry, climate changers—would advocate using the phenomenon of nuclear winter to combat global warming. Explode a few nukes, kick up dust, cool things down. Sure, any use of nukes by the state is horrible, but if the warmers are really as worried about imminent doom as they say, …

Now comes a NASA study claiming “Small Nuclear War Could Reverse Global Warming for Years,” because of the nuclear winter effect. They don’t go so far as to endorse this as a way to cool things down, but given the fanaticism and statism of the warmers, is it only a matter of time before they do?
