Republicans are congratulating themselves and President Bush for proposing cuts in the FY 2009 budget of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Not so fast Republicans. The CPB budget is currently about $400 million. You have already wasted over $500 billion fighting a senseless war in Iraq, and now you want another $100 billion or so to continue the war effort. I just can’t seem to get too excited about you Republicans wanting to cut the budget of the CPB, especially since most Republicans who want to cut the CPB budget only want to do so because of the CPB’s “liberal bias,” not that funding the CPB in the first place is unconstitutional.
