Newspapers Look to Go Whole Hog in Statism

There is no entity in this country that is more statist than the typical newspaper. It is not just the New York Slimes that tells us to bow down to state power, but the local press as well.

At least one legislator in Connecticut is looking to bail out local papers with money seized from taxpayers. The hilarious thing is to see the reaction by some who claim that newspapers perform a “watchdog” role and that government aid would be improper. Let us be honest, people; newspapers long ago abandoned any “watchdog” role they had in order to be the lapdogs of the state.

You can bet that if government money is offered to the New York Slimes and others, they will take it in a flash. Whoredom, after all, is contagious.
