Our neocon (emphasis on “con”) friends at the War Street Journal have endorsed torture through the “rendition” policies of the U.S. Government. The editorial says that the policy began during the Clinton Administration, which I guess makes it OK. All of this reminds me of when I had a kidney stone attack in 1993. I remember that during a particularly painful stretch, I had this very lucid thought that if I were tortured, I would talk.
