The U.K. government has blocked a proposal to ban the possession of dog and cat meat since it is so popular with recent immigrants from other cultures.  That would be “culturally insensitive,”says the government.  As George Orwell might say, some cultures are apparently more equal than others since the British government doesn’t seem to care about the sensitivities of British culture.
