More Fox Distortions

Lew: Barry Goldwater, Jr.’s appearance on Fox News was, indeed, a good one. He helped the interviewer reveal to her audience just how twisted her channel is in “reporting” news. At one point she refers to Ron Paul as someone who shows up and “makes some funny points.” Ron has received so little time and space in the MSM that he is too efficient with what he is provided to waste it “making funny points.” If one checks the videos, they will discover Ron making a very solid point on, e.g., inflationary policies, only to have Fred Thompson respond with his “I -am-unable-to-make-an-intelligent-response” giggle.

Nor was Murdoch’s chosen puppet attuned to reality when she said that, in talking about peace, Ron sounded more like a Democrat. No, dummy, Ron Paul has struck such a strong chord amongst people on the Iraq war issue – the only major candidate taking it head-on – that a number of Democrats have found an advantage in following Paul’s lead. They have begun talking about (emphasis on “talking”) perhaps ending the war, . . . someday, . . . maybe.

This is the kind of “newscasting” that would not survive in the modern realm of real journalism, namely, the Internet. Those who wish to become genuine, truth-seeking journalists must do better than what shows up in the MSM. They might begin by pretending they will become competent journalists one day, . . . but they must pretend very hard!
