…. because all Mexicans in the U.S – whatever their status –  are encouraged to vote in Mexican elections. They can do so by mail or at their local Mexican consulates without ever returning to Mexico. Note that those eligible to vote for leftist candidate and former Mexico City Mayor Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador also include all “Mexican-Americans” who have lived in the U.S. and voted in our elections for generations. After all, most of them still call Mexico “home.”
