We live in an interesting time and place where Martha Stewart is thrown in jail, put under house arrest, and placed under probation all for selling some stock; while the worst consequence for a Michael Brown is losing some cush federal job, as he just did today. I wonder if Orleans and Jefferson Parish prosecutors could make a case against a number of executive government officials (like Michael Brown for the Feds & the N.O. Mayor for local) for criminal negligence and possibly manslaughter resulting in a number of the dead (though not necessarily all) in these parishes.
