Man-Made Global Warming? Beyond a Reasonable Doubt?

The following piece has come into my hands via my eldest brother who writes to me “An associate of mine put this together.” Has man-made global warming been proven beyond a reasonable doubt? Should it be assumed to exist and be remedied by means of state power? This is one man’s answer.

CLIMATE CHANGE FACTS

by Jim N. Taylor

After reading what 22 qualified authors and the world’s leading experts have to say about this, I have not changed my mind:

*Geological records analysis dismiss the possibility that human emissions of carbon dioxide will lead to catastrophic consequences for the planet;

*The growing chasm between the predictions of the IPCC and the real world temperature results is/are thoroughly demonstrated;

*The climate is much less sensitive to increases in greenhouse gasses than previously thought, and a warmer world (if ever realized) would probably have a similar variability as today’s;

*Climate variability as related to historical sun activity has been largely ignored by activists’ projections;

*The natural variability of the climate is far greater than any human component;

*Climate models have an extremely low success rate in predicting such important information as rainfall, a major cooling force;

*The dire economic consequences of abandoning the use of fossil fuels is largely ignored by activists;

*The possible benefits of taking remedial actions are ridiculously low in comparison to the considerable costs of doing so;

*The academic qualifications of the leading proponents of catastrophic climate change examined by undoubtedly qualified scientists are usually found to be lacking the credentials of an acceptable ‘skeptic’. This occurs partially because individuals with a PhD in some distantly related field of study endow themselves with the authority to comment upon climate change and global warming. The reason why possibly a majority of people have accepted the charge of man-made climate change/warming is because of human cognitive biases (lack of critical/rational thought).

*All the works of the 22 authors are summarized in a book ‘Climate Change: The Facts’ written by several authors, sold by Amazon. You can Google it or find it through amazon.com.

*There is no scientific consensus on global warming. In a 2012 poll of the American Meteorological Society only 59% stated that human activity was the primary cause of global warming. In 2016, the Dutch government found that sixty percent of climate scientists do not adhere to the reported ‘consensus’ on man-made climate change. On a worldwide basis, perhaps half of qualified scientists might accept man-made global warming. This is not a consensus! Not even in a 70-30% poll!

*Prevention attempts are unjustifiable: The IPCC finds the total cost of alleged climate change is estimated to cost us less than 2% of GDP by the year 2070; this equals to a single year of recession over 60 years. This predictable cost does not justify the proposed commitment to prevention of climate change; especially considering the greater dangers we face.

*Climate models have been consistently and egregiously wrong for decades; even short term weather forecasts are frequently unreliable, much less have we been able to depend upon any long-term predictions from models.

*We cannot determine accurate historical temperatures of past centuries, or even earlier days of the 1900’s in our location; much less at the poles where no real record exists. Spending $Trillions on inaccurate data is fruitlessly stupid.

*Statistical margins of error preclude any claims of record-breaking annual temperatures in recent years on a statistically significant basis. Scientists know what this means and that it is true. ‘Statistical significance’ can be Googled for clarity.
