Neocon Don Feder reaches a new low by suggesting that Katrina was God’s punishment for America’s support of Sharon’s expulsion of the Gaza settlers and for our failure to drive all gays back in the closet. Use of the hurricanes to advance the neocon-religious right agenda is bad enough, but to claim the suffering of the hurricanes was because America’s failure to heed the neocons and the religious right angered God is beneath contempt. I hope Feder loses his standing as a leading conservative because of this, but I doubt it will happen.
