Will the Tim Russert gala memorial never end? In this, the tenth day of what it referred to as the death that “enveloped the nation in grief,” MSNBC is rerunning the entirety of his memorial service. Shall we be subjected to annual remembrances of his death – a la the fallen Kennedys – and might a motion picture be in the offing? What about a Tim Russert Memorial in Washington, D.C., one to rival the Washington and Jefferson Memorials in grandeur? It seems the least that NBC and its parent General Electric could do!
Other than his own immediate family and media colleagues, who takes this sideshow seriously? How many of you or your acquaintances remain grief-stricken over his unexpected death?
