Just Found Out About Ralph Raico’s Death

Writes Paul Gottfried:

David and Lew, I just found out about Ralph’s death from a friend in Germany, who sent me the sad news about  a half an hour ago. I admired Ralph enormously, and my interest in the role played by members of the English cabinet in provoking World War One developed out of my extensive conversations with Professor Raico. His lectures and essays on Churchill were brilliant and devastating. He was also one of the wittiest people I ever knew, and I relished his company, particularly his bantering relation with David. Although I didn’t have the exhilarating opportunity  to converse with Ralph  in recent years, I always delighted in receiving his amusing emails. His presence in my life will be sorely missed.
