That might call into question the main reason that has been given for the past ten years for the U.S. military aggression in Iraq and Afghanistan:  “We need to fight them over there so that they don’t come over here.” Someone might even hypothesize that all the murder and mayhem imposed on the civilian populations of the Middle East by the U.S. military might possibly motivate someone from over there to try to do the same over here.
