I have been informed by a correspondent to whom I am grateful (as I need a good laugh now and then) that Israel will not accept statehood. The message in full read: “This will never happen. Israel would never agree to become a state because if they did they’d be allowed to have only 2 senators working for them instead of their current level of representation.”
