My old friend Irving Louis Horowitz passed away this morning from complications stemming from emergency heart surgery. Irv was the longtime president of Transaction Publishers, which published several of my books co-authored with James T. Bennett as well as a number of books by other authors associated with the Mises Institute. He spoke at the Mises Institute’s 15th anniversary conference in Atlanta. Irv was a renowned sociologist who taught at Rutgers University for many years.
