Inhofe’s Quintessential DC Denial Denial

My egregious Oklahoma Senator, James Inhofe, when caught red-handed disseminating false flag propaganda concerning Ukraine, self-righteously proclaimed his shock and innocence to his complicity as a tool in the drive for further US intervention in the region. The whole seriocomic affair is reminiscent of the classic scene in Casablanca where French police official Captain Louis Renault (Claude Rains) is ordered by German Major Heinrich Strasser (Conrad Veidt) to close Rick’s Café Américain after a rousing pro-French, anti-German disturbance.

Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds?

Captain Renault: I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!
[a croupier hands Renault a pile of money]

Croupier: Your winnings, sir.

Captain Renault: Oh, thank you very much.

Notice how the above dissembling account in the neocon Washington Free Beacon, while documenting Inhofe’s duplicitous conduct, stridently continues to assert that Russia is solely at fault for the tumult in Ukraine. To neocons facts do not matter for they create their own reality and truths.
