No sooner had Pres. Obama announced that he had just directed the killing of Osama bin Laden, than members of the Bogeyman Lobby began warning that bin Laden’s death would increase terrorist acts against Americans. If this is true, wouldn’t his actions that promote more death and destruction in this country amount to an impeachable offense? Would the capture of bin Laden — in order to stand trial for his wrongdoings — not have been more conducive to a legally principled way of dealing with such matters?
