Iatrogenic means “doctor or physician created.” These Radical Islamic terrorist cells and covert Jihadist organizations were fostered, enhanced, and directed by the very counter-intelligence agencies established to combat them. In addition is the crucial factor of “blowback” in terrorist creation. We see these destructive iatrogenic radicalization and blowback phenomena repeatedly in the cases of Sheik Omar’s network, Osama bin Laden’s network, and ISIS.
