While throwing some laundry into the washing machine this morning I said to my wife, “I’m doing a load of whites,” in case she had anything to contribute. Then it struck me: If The Authorities are listening through my iPhone, Alexa, or the TV I could be in Big Trouble. The Soviet Poverty Law Center is probably investigating right now, if they haven’t already issued another one of their White Supremacy alerts to the Department of Fatherland Security.
Thank God she didn’t respond with something like “I’m doing the coloreds next.” Or, God forbid, “the darks.”
UPDATE: Mike R. writes to say that “Mom always said . . . don’t mix whites and coloreds.” Quick! Someone call the thought police!
