Humorless Paleocon Plunder Supporters

Ralph Raico recently brought to my attention the fact that “The Voice of Reason” at Takimag.com, one Tom Piatak, apparently does not approve of my tongue-in-cheek comment on this blog that giving the middle finger to “The Big Three” auto dealerships and their patrons is an appropriate response to the Detroit bailout. He criticizes me for ignoring the type of “cool logic” that he, THE voice of reason, would apply.

Piatak is a supporter of the Detroit bailout bill. His “cool logic” explains why it is a good idea to tax the shirts off the backs of working class Americans outside of Detroit and give the money to automobile industry plutocrats, union bosses, and their terminally inefficient, inept, lazy, and uncompetitive, unionized work force. Rewarding failure and massively subsidizing losing businesses is apparently Takimag’s idea of “cool logic.”

Another part of Piatak’s “cool logic” is his statement to the effect that 1) The Wall Street Plutocrat Bailout Bill was a bad idea; 2) Therefore, the Detroit Bailout Bill is a good idea.

Lest you think I’m making up this absurd nonsense, read Piatak’s defense of the Detroit Bailout yourself where he says exactly this.
