How to Eliminate Conspiracy Theories Involving the U.S. Government

Here is a not-to-be-missed web page from the U.S. federal government addressing various conspiracy theories that involve the U.S. government: Conspiracy Theories and Misinformation. They write: “Conspiracy theories exist in the realm of myth, where imaginations run wild, fears trump facts, and evidence is ignored. As a superpower, the United States is often cast as a villain in these dramas.”

Without commenting on the truth of any particular conspiracy theories, I would like to one make meta point:

Do you want to eliminate conspiracy theories involving the U.S. government and the various areas listed on the web page? The web page lists these categories: September 11, Health, Military, Outer Space, Economic, U.S. Domestic, Latin America.

Here is my one step, simple plan: Simply get the government completely out of being involved in these very areas, like foreign policy, intervention in the market for medical services, in the economy in general, etc.

While the U.S. government is large, powerful, and involved in nearly every area of life and world affairs, then there will be conspiracy theories about what exactly it is up to.
