I have been asked the above question many times over the years by young men that recognize the evils of the U.S. military but, usually because they are unemployed or in a McJob, see a way out in the Coast Guard. Among other things, one thing I always warn them about is how, as a member of the Coast Guard, they will have to help carry out the war on drugs. This picture I discovered today says it all.
