Hey, Stop Putting Officials in a Bad Light!

Funny, whenever government feels itself in any way on trial, as at the 9/11 hearings, we are admonished to eschew hindsight, which is always 20/20 (even historians say this!); not to blame anyone for the crimes and failures of the trillion-dollar government security establishment; indeed, not to point any fingers whatsoever; but only to focus on all the good that government can do for us in the future, if only we are not niggardly with our money and our freedom.

This was also the message of former federal prosecutor Rudy ‘Benito’ Giuliani yesterday (though somehow such strictures never applied when he put businessmen in actual chains for various pretend crimes; finger pointing is all to the good when officials are persecuting innocent citizens).

Hurrah for the audience that booed this lobbyist, fixer, and would-be dictator.
