There were 144 murders in the city of Baltimore in the first six months of this year, 48% more than during the same time period last year.  But not to worry, Baltimoreans, help is on the way!  The mayor has convened a “commission” to “review the status” of all the Confederate monuments on city property such as Robert E. Lee Memorial Park, about 40 miles north of Washington, D.C.
