Handcuffing Children

The boob-hustlers at CNN are agitated this morning over reports that an eight-year old child had been handcuffed by a police officer. When Thomas Pynchon wrote: “If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don’t have to worry about answers,” he must been watching a cable “news” channel. That government schools – through the system of “compulsory education” – handcuffs the bodies, minds, and souls of children, is an insight far too dangerous for the mainstream media scribblers and babblers to entertain for even a nano-second, lest their cushy jobs be jeopardized. The eight-year old who absented himself from his assigned school cell would quickly have his home visited by another policeman – bearing the job title “truant officer” – to discover whether the child had a state-approved reason for being absent, or whether he had stayed at home in order to pursue something of genuine interest to himself. If the latter explanation was found to be the case, the child – along with his parents – would be handcuffed and dragged into the criminal-law racket for appropriately severe punishment.
