Former Republican senator Chuck Hagel has been confirmed by the Senate, 58-41, with most Republicans opposing him because they are bloodthirsty warmongers. My reaction: Ho hum. My prediction: at the end of Obama’s second term, the U.S. military will still be in 150 countries and territories, the U.S. military will still be doing anything and everything but actually defending the country, and the U.S. will still be the world’s policeman.
