The televised ESPY awards show on ABC tonight devoted a solid half hour to an advertisement for gun control laws that repeated all the ignorant, asinine, leftist claptrap including some mumbling propaganda from Obama himself.   They used the corpse of a poor 15-year-old boy who was gunned down in yet another one of those drug gang drive-by shootings as a political prop.  They interviewed the boy’s family extensively, with the mother appearing on stage to make one final plea for more gun control laws after the 30 minute sob-fest.

Of course, there is no such thing as “gun violence.”  Violence is perpetrated by those who pull the trigger.  In this case it was apparently drug gang bangers  who murdered the young boy.  These criminals would not even exist were it not for the war on drugs. That is what killed the 15-year-old athlete, not some inanimate object.  He would be alive today if it were not the war on drugs, as would hundreds of thousands of others.

I wonder what the Vegas odds would be of Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Stephen Curry, and other millionaire athletes who made the pitch for gun control laws giving up their own private firearms and armed body guards.  Was there armed security at the ESPYs?

UPDATE:  It’s impossible to watch anything on network TV any more, even a sports awards show, without being bombarded with Hollywood commie PC propaganda.  In addition to the hours-long plea to destroy the Second Amendment, there was Abby Womback who gave a teary testimonial about how her greatest achievement is not being the best female soccer player in the world, but being a lesbian.  Then they dragged out some “comedian” to ridicule Dan Snyder, the owner of the Washington Redskins, for refusing to buckle under to the PC police and rename his team.  The non-funny “comedian” stepped onto the stage in a sports uniform of sorts with the team name emblazoned on his chest.  The team name was “The Jews.”  “How would you like that, Dan Snyder,” the jerk was apparently saying.
