I’m not making this up, nor is it about an article in The Onion. For years, the federal government (NASA) and the state of California have been financing a collection of satellites that supposedly listen “for anything unusual” coming from outer space. Upon realizing that the taxpayers’ pockets are not bottomless after all, funding has been cut. So sad. (Thanks to our mate Ken Lee from Australia).
